Whether we like it or not, fall is just around the corner. And although the thought of summer being over doesn’t make me too happy, there are so many things that I love about autumn, too. The weather starts to cool off, my favorite holiday (Halloween!) isn’t too far away, and fall fashion takes over.
I always get excited about fall fashion. It’s always fun to see the trends from February’s fashion week catwalks pop up in stores. This season, I’m particularly fond of the Fair Isle trend. The cozy knits and geometric patterns conjure up memories of heading up to the cabin for a weekend of skiing, snowmen and s’mores.
This nostalgic trend popped up on the Fall 2014 runways of Emilio Pucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Rag & Bone and Burberry. Not only is it one of the most comfortable trends around, but it’s also wearable right off the runway and into real life. Take a peek at my favorite pieces that are giving me major cabin fever…
Paul & Joe Sister Peaks Sweater, $195
Equipment Tayden Mock Neck Sweater, $328
RED Valentino Knit Body Con Dress, $695
Forever21 Reindeer 3/4 Sleeve Cardigan, $15.99
White Alpaca Mittens from The Little Market, $40
Ryder Ferisle Sweater, $211
Urban Outfitters Ecote Cabin Fever Cardigan, $89
Overnight Bag in Half Moon Bay from The Little Market, $240
Band of Outsiders Fair Isle Horses Wool Blend Sweater, $475

Looking at all of these cozy fall pieces I suddenly have the urge to make some s’mores and whip up a batch of hot chocolate. If only it wasn’t 90 degrees in Los Angeles…
